Not So Fast!
New Year might well be approaching at a gallumphing rate - (although "gallumphing" is rather outside my expreience) - but we haven't even encountered and survived Christmas yet. One thing at a time, Caddoc dearest.
I can give you a personal demonstration of gallumphing, any time you choose. It is best done wearing gumboots and sou'westers, and is the gardener's equivalent of a Sailor's Hornpipe.
Caddoc insisted the time was 'galumphing' when he spoke to me, which I duly wrote with one 'l'... Caddoc must have had a change of heart since then, for here he uses two...How that man does confuse me... However, Google agrees with me - galumphing it is... I am vindicated.
