Unhand Me, You Cad!

"We've always," quoth Ada, "been drawn to each other. But sometimes I think he treats me like his mother; and some days I think I'll go out of my head unless he slopes out to lounge in his shed with his droopy sad face like a wee bloodhound pup; he’ll hide there while I wash the breakfast things up!

(And don't you agree, come now, won't you confess, his hat is a terrible, terrible mess?)

But then he'll come in and he'll creep up behind and I must pretend that I really do mind how his left and his right hands unerringly know the very two places where they should not go!

So I always pretend to be stern and severe and cry "You great Welsh lummox, less of that here!" And then he says "If not there, where then, my dear?" as he smiles his daft smile and gives me a cuddle, knowing he’ll soon throw my thoughts in a muddle till I’ll give him a kiss, and forgive him his hat. Now tell me, could you resist chat-ups like that?"

Cad's hands took a slightly different approach from Escher's... but thanks go to Tess and her Mag for the image.

  4. You are an incredibly mean-spirited person. If something isn't your cup of tea, the best thing to do is be on your way and ignore it. There was no reason to bash my friend Faith's work the way you did. Our blog is a safe space, and I hope that in the future you will do the decent thing and leave us be if you don't care for what we do. I have no idea why anyone would think it's okay to be nasty and rude the way you were.

    1. Ada and I note the foul language you used in a comment you left on your 'friend's' blog, Dolly Marionette. Shame on you!
Perhaps you should take your own advice and ignore anything which isn't your cup of tea, and let Trellissimo speak as he finds...

  10. I saw the comments left on the Undead site. Comments aimed at someone suffering from BPD. Criticism is fine if fair and when balanced but not when it is to damn rude. It seems more like a deliberate attempt at being sensationalist.
One only has to read the messages that adorn the site to see that all contributors are sufferers of that vile mental disorder. In view of that those comments seem deliberately cruel.
Having read some of the posts here it is apparent you are neither cruel or unkind so perhaps, giving you the benefit of the doub, you made an error of judgement.
Obviously you are unaware of the distress it has caused the person who wrote the post you rubbished. Perhaps they are over reacting but then again that is symptomatic of that illness. Indeed, perhaps i should mind my own business but when a friend gets hurt I tend, rightly or wrongly, to stand by them.
As I said, you don't appear to be someone who seeks to hurt others but in this instance you have.
If you don't like the site or what is said there then don't visit and don't comment but for now an apology would be the order of the day.

    1. Dear Mr. Duffy

Thank you for taking the trouble to share your concerns with us here.
I cannot now remember the exact words in my comment on the Undead site, and as the blog is now open to invited readers only, I can't look to refresh my memory, nor write an apology there. Nevertheless, I do so apologise to its authors and readers for any offense or hurt which my remark caused. I hope you will be so kind as to convey this message to them.

      Sincerely

      Trellissimo

  12. Yes, not being able to keep one's hands to oneself can have mixed consequences. One ends up in a satisfied stupor or with a face sore with tight slaps! Nicely Trellis!
